My wife and I had an amazing time here. Great service, food, and drinks. And so close to the beach. What could be better? We will be back. P.S. The staff truly made our stay special. Thank you.

Hotel Humano is a beautifully designed stay — the brutalist-chic aesthetic gives the property a unique, stylish atmosphere that really stands out in Puerto Escondido. The service was warm and attentive throughout my visit, and the location is excellent, an easy walk to the beach as well as great shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite compact, but they were very clean and thoughtfully maintained. Guests should note that it can be a bit noisy until around 11:00 pm, so light sleepers may want to plan accordingly. Despite that, the overall experience felt relaxed and well cared for. A special highlight was the hotel’s adorable resident kitten, Olivia Mandarino, who completely stole my heart.

The hotel has exquisite architecture—immaculate, serene, yet still perfectly connected to the main path leading to the beach. An incredible spot to enjoy Puerto while stepping into a divine, beautifully designed space. The service is warm, attentive, and always ready with solutions. And the breakfast? Perfect. I’d definitely come back—truly a great place.

An unforgettable stay at Humano Hotel! Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely kind — they make you feel seen, cared for, and completely at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean, maintained with such care that you can truly relax and unwind. The overall atmosphere has the best chill vibes peaceful, stylish, and perfectly balanced between comfort and character. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, enjoying breakfast, or simply soaking in the ambiance, there’s an effortless sense of calm and good energy everywhere. They’ve also found me the best surf instructor. Highly recommend Humano Hotel if you’re looking for a place to recharge, connect, and feel truly cared for.

A beautiful, peaceful hotel, made even better by the fantastic staff. Hotel Humano was a true haven for 10 days. The location is directly on the main street, surrounded by great bars and restaurants, and less than 2 minutes from the beach. Every meal we ate was delicious, and every member of staff was genuinely kind and helpful. The hotel features 2 pools, a sauna and ice plunge, alongside a bistro and rooftop bar. The design of the entire place is fantastic and being a smaller hotel nowhere was ever crowded. As others have said, the rooms do experience quite a lot of noise/music from the street (the mezcal bar directly across the street is particularly loud) but all venues in the area have to close by 11pm so it never stopped us sleeping. But this is something to be mindful of it you like to sleep early.

Hotel Humano is truly one of a kind. We stayed there for a whole week and had the most incredible time. The design is beautiful, and the location is excellent (it is a lively neighborhood on the one hand, but on the other hand music has to be tuned off at 11pm which is perfect). The pool is a private oasis and you can honestly lie there all day. It’s peaceful, the setting is stunning, and the pool staff are so nice and attentive. The restaurant is delicious. We loved both breakfast and lunch. The rooftop at sunset is gorgeous and some nights there’s live music or a DJ. Such good vibes. There’s also rooftop yoga overlooking the beach (once during our week-long stay). The staff were all lovely and helped us with everything we needed, from recommending a great gym nearby, to booking tours, to suggesting different beaches depending on the vibe we were looking for that day. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best week ever!

Excellent service , staff and rooms . As a platinum bonvoy member I thought a complimentary breakfast was part of the package , but once they told me it wasn’t but the would add it anyway , it immediately started my stay in a positive way . Pool area on rooftop was perfect for me to practice yoga in morning and relax by pool . Staff were very friendly . Even though the hotel was full the next day I still managed a late checkout . Thank you

Beautiful yet minimal architecture with a spacious entry, cozy pool, and rooftop for beautiful sunsets. Location was perfect for exploring and enjoying town by foot. The team was accommodating to dietary restrictions and even surprised with a departure treat. Overall, an amazing stay in one of my favorite coastal towns with a warm and local culture. There are a couple of minor improvements to consider that will make future stays even more enjoyable …softer beds, extra blankets, and a full length mirror.
